Makna Belajar Matematika melalui Permainan Tradisional sebagai Kajian Kualitatif terhadap Peningkatan Literasi Numerasi Siswa Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
Kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa sekolah dasar di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah, salah satunya disebabkan oleh pembelajaran matematika yang abstrak, tidak kontekstual, dan minim integrasi budaya lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menafsirkan makna belajar matematika melalui permainan tradisional khas Buton (Kambabawa, Kasedesede, dan Baguli) dari sudut pandang peserta didik sekolah dasar. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-hermeneutik, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi visual terhadap siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri 1 Nganganaumala, Kota Baubau. Hasil penelitian mengungkap tiga temuan utama: (1) permainan menjadi sarana kontekstual untuk membangun konsep numerasi seperti hitungan, urutan, dan estimasi; (2) siswa mengalami pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, reflektif, dan kolaboratif; serta (3) permainan tradisional memperkuat keterikatan siswa pada identitas budaya lokal. Permainan tradisional dipahami sebagai “teks budaya hidup” yang dimaknai secara aktif oleh siswa dalam interaksinya dengan konsep matematika formal. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi permainan tradisional dalam pembelajaran matematika tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual, tetapi juga menciptakan pembelajaran yang holistik, humanistik, dan transformatif dalam konteks budaya siswa
