Peran Career Optimism terhadap Career Adaptability pada Mahasiswa

Abstract


Semester akhir merupakan fase krusial bagi mahasiswa untuk mulai menentukan dan mempersiapkan tujuan karir mereka dalam waktu yang dekat. Dengan demikian mahasiswa harus menyesuaikan dan mengembangkan kemampuan mereka dalam mencapai tujuan karir tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran career optimism terhadap career adaptability pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di universitas “X†Bandung.Melalui teknik convenience sampling, diperoleh 344 mahasiswa semester 6-8 dari Fakultas Psikologi, Bisnis, Bahasa dan Budaya, Hukum, Seni Rupa dan Desain, Teknik, dan Teknik Informasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuisioner Career Optimism Subscale dan Career Adapt-Abilities Scale Short Form (CAAS-SF), dengan nilai validitas dan reliabilitas yang baik. Dengan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana, diketahui bahwa career optimism memiliki peran positif dan signifikan terhadap career adaptability. Hal ini berarti bahwa mahasiswa yang memiliki pandangan positif terhadap perjalanan karirnya akan lebih mampu menyesuaikan diri dalam mencapai tujuan karirnya. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diimplikasikan oleh universitas untuk pengembangan program persiapan karir mahasiswa
