Implementasi Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Asrama Bagi Mahasiswa Calon Guru
Abstract
Studi ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis asrama pada mahasiswa calon guru, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan pendekatan dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah pendamping, pengurus, dan mahasiswa yang tinggal di asrama. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif Milles dan Huberman. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis asrama diwujudkan melalui dua proses. Pertama , praktik: kegiatan harian, harian, bulanan, insidental; kegiatan pembelajaran; program asrama; dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Kedua, pelaksanaan (pembiasaan, keteladanan, spontanitas, penghargaan dan hukuman). Kendala yang dihadapi, yakni keterbatasan kontrol pendamping asrama, khususnya pada pandemi Covid-19, pengaruh media, kurangnya pemahaman mahasiswa tentang program pendidikan berbasis asrama, Keragaman karakter dan sebagian mahasiswa yang sulit diatur. Sedangkan faktor pendukungnya adalah dukungan umat, sumber daya manusia, sarana dan prasarana, dukungan dari seluruh warga kampus, orang tua/wali, dan masyarakat sekitar.
